Support & Help

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

A. Getting Started & Account

What Studiely is, who it is for, free vs Premium, devices, accounts, passwords, and deletion.

What is Studiely?

Studiely is an AI-powered study platform built specifically for school students. Unlike generic AI tools that produce broad, unfocused answers, Studiely starts with the student's exact academic route — curriculum, exam board, grade level, subject, and topic — then generates revision support that is aligned to how they are actually being assessed.

The platform brings four core study tools into one place: Summary Notes, Flashcards, Quiz, and Exam Practice. Students move through the full revision cycle — from first understanding a concept, through to exam-style practice — without leaving the app or switching between separate resources.

Studiely supports five major curriculum systems: British (IGCSE and GCSE), International Baccalaureate (IB), US, Canadian, and Australian. That makes it one of the most curriculum-inclusive AI study platforms available to school students today.

The platform works on web, iOS, and Android — so students can revise at home, on the go, or anywhere in between.

Who is Studiely designed for?

Studiely is designed for students from Grade 1 through Grade 12 who want structured, curriculum-specific study support rather than generic content. This covers primary through pre-university learners across all five supported curriculum systems.

It is especially well-suited for students studying under

  • The British curriculum (IGCSE, GCSE, A Level pathways)
  • The International Baccalaureate (IB PYP, MYP, and Diploma Programme)
  • The US curriculum (AP courses and Common Core-aligned content)
  • The Canadian curriculum (province-aligned content from Grade 1 through Grade 12)
  • The Australian curriculum (NAPLAN, HSC, VCE, QCE, WACE, SACE, TCE, ACT SSC, NTCET, and ATAR)

Students in international schools, homeschool environments, and those preparing for high-stakes exams independently will find Studiely particularly useful — because it removes the need to search for and filter revision materials from multiple sources. Everything is generated to match the student's specific route.

Studiely is also the right platform for students who cannot access or afford private tutoring. Quality AI-powered revision support should not be a privilege. Studiely exists to change that.

Is Studiely free to use?

Yes. Studiely includes a free plan that gives students genuine access to the platform before committing to a subscription.

The free plan includes five complete generations — meaning you can generate Summary Notes, Flashcards, or a Quiz for five separate topics at no cost. No credit card is required to sign up and no trial period expires. Each free generation uses the same full AI engine as Premium, so the quality of content is identical.

This is not a restricted demo. It is real revision support, offered freely, because we believe every student deserves to see what curriculum-aligned AI study looks like before deciding whether to invest further.

Once the five free generations are used, students can continue with a Premium plan on monthly, three-month, six-month, or annual billing cycles. Pricing varies by region — visit our Pricing page to see the options available in your location.

What is the difference between the Free plan and Premium?

The Free plan gives students five complete generations to explore the platform. This is enough to generate revision materials for five topics across any of Studiely's study tools — which gives a genuine feel for the platform's quality.

Premium unlocks ongoing access within a fair usage policy of 100 generations per month. For most students following a structured revision schedule, this provides substantial capacity across multiple subjects throughout the academic year.

Premium users also get

  • Full access to all four core study tools (Summary Notes, Flashcards, Quiz, Exam Style Questions)
  • PDF export option for offline revision
  • Anki-compatible flashcard downloads for spaced repetition study
  • Ability to regenerate and refine any output
  • Full access to Nyla, Studiely's built-in AI study tutor
  • Complete Achievements, Rewards, and Refer & Earn programme access

The Exam Practice add-on is available separately for both Free and Premium users — it provides exam simulation with AI feedback and has its own independent generation pack that does not count toward the monthly limit.

For students revising across multiple subjects in the lead-up to exams, Premium offers the consistent, structured study support that makes a measurable difference over time.

Do I need a teacher or tutor to use Studiely?

No. Studiely is fully self-guided. Students can sign up, select their curriculum and subject, and start generating study materials within minutes — without any teacher setup, school integration, or parental management.

This makes Studiely especially useful for

  • Students revising independently during school holidays or exam season
  • Students in international or remote environments where additional academic support is limited
  • Students who prefer to study outside of school hours on their own schedule
  • Students who cannot access or afford private tutoring

Studiely's built-in AI study tutor, Nyla, provides an additional layer of on-demand support. Students can ask Nyla to clarify a concept, explain an approach to a particular question type, or guide them on how to structure revision for an upcoming exam — all without needing a teacher present.

Many students also use Studiely alongside regular classroom learning — generating notes after a lesson to consolidate what was taught, or practising topic quizzes before a test. It works effectively as a standalone platform and as a classroom supplement.

Which devices does Studiely work on?

Studiely works across all major devices and platforms.

  • Web: Accessible on any modern web browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) on desktops and laptops — no software installation required
  • iOS: Available as an app on iPhone and iPad through the Apple App Store
  • Android: Available as an app on Android phones and tablets through the Google Play Store

The platform is designed to deliver the same full experience on mobile as on desktop. Students can generate summary notes, practise flashcards, and take quizzes from their phone just as effectively as from a laptop.

Your account and all generated content sync across devices when you are logged in, so there is no need to regenerate materials if you switch from phone to laptop during a revision session.

How do I create a Studiely account?

Creating a Studiely account takes under two minutes.

You can sign up through the Studiely website at studiely.com or through the mobile app on iOS or Android. All you need is:

  • A valid email address
  • A password of your choice

Once registered, you can immediately select your curriculum, subject, and topic and start generating study materials. There is no waiting period, no approval process, and no requirement to connect a school account.

Students under 13 should have parental or guardian consent before registering, in line with our Terms of Service and applicable data protection laws.

Can I use Studiely without an account?

No. An account is required to use Studiely. The platform saves your curriculum settings, tracks your generation usage, stores your revision history, and manages your rewards and achievements — none of which is possible without an account.

Signing up is free and takes under two minutes. You do not need to provide payment information to create an account or access the free plan. Your free plan generations are available immediately after registration.

How do I reset my password?

If you have forgotten your password, select "Forgot Password" on the Studiely login screen. Enter the email address linked to your account and a password reset link will be sent to you. Follow the instructions in the email to set a new password.

If you are already logged in and want to update your password, go to Profile → Account Settings → Change Password.

If you do not receive the reset email within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder. If it still does not arrive, contact us through the Contact Us page at studiely.com and we will assist you within 24 hours.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. You can request account deletion at any time through the Account Deletion page in the Studiely Help Center.

Once confirmed, all personal data and AI-generated content associated with your account will be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection regulations. This cannot be undone.

We recommend downloading any revision content you wish to keep before submitting a deletion request. If you are a Premium subscriber, we also recommend cancelling your subscription first through your app store or account settings to avoid any further billing.

B. Curriculum & Academic Scope

Curricula, grades, exam boards, IGCSE, IB, provinces, states, and switching routes.

Which curricula does Studiely support?

Studiely supports five major curriculum systems used by students from Grade 1 through Grade 12 worldwide.

British Curriculum
Cambridge Checkpoint, IGCSE (Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel), GCSE, and pathway content covering Grade 1 through to pre-university level. Output is structured around each stage's scope, terminology, and assessment expectations — from early primary all the way through to the final exam years.

International Baccalaureate (IB)
Full support for PYP (Primary Years Programme), MYP (Middle Years Programme), and DP (Diploma Programme). Content adapts to IB educational philosophy — PYP is inquiry-led and conceptual; MYP and DP content is assessment-aware where appropriate.

US Curriculum
AP (Advanced Placement), Digital SAT preparation contexts, and US High School content aligned to Common Core standards.

Canadian Curriculum
Province-specific content covering Grade 1 through Grade 12 across every Canadian province and territory — making Studiely the only AI study platform with this depth of Canadian curriculum coverage:

  • Ontario (OSSD — Ontario Secondary School Diploma)
  • British Columbia (Dogwood Diploma)
  • Alberta (Alberta High School Diploma)
  • Quebec (Diplôme d'Études Secondaires — DES)
  • Manitoba (Manitoba High School Diploma)
  • Saskatchewan (Saskatchewan High School Diploma)
  • Maritimes (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and PEI — Maritime High School Diploma)
  • Territories (Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut — Territorial Secondary Diploma)

No other AI study platform covers every Canadian province and territory. For Canadian students, Studiely offers curriculum-specific study support aligned to the exact diploma pathway and provincial expectations of their school.

Australian Curriculum
State-specific content covering Grade 1 through Grade 12 across every Australian state and territory — making Studiely the only AI study platform with this depth of Australian curriculum coverage: NAPLAN (Years 3, 5, 7, and 9); NSW HSC (New South Wales); VCE (Victoria); QCE (Queensland); WACE (Western Australia); SACE (South Australia); TCE (Tasmania); ACT SSC (Australian Capital Territory); NTCET (Northern Territory); and ATAR (Year 12 cross-state). No other AI study platform covers every Australian state and territory. For Australian students, Studiely generates study content matched to their specific state exam board.

Studiely generates curriculum-differentiated output — meaning a Cambridge Checkpoint student receives content shaped differently from a Cambridge IGCSE student, and both receive content shaped differently from a VCE student, even when studying the same topic. This is the core difference from generic AI tools.

Which year groups and grade levels are covered?

Studiely covers Grade 1 through Grade 12 across all five supported curriculum systems. Coverage follows the official syllabus structures of each curriculum at every stage.

  • British: Grade 1–12 (Cambridge Checkpoint from Grade 3; Cambridge IGCSE and GCSE from Grade 9; A Level pathway through Grade 12)
  • IB: Grade 1–12 (IB PYP covers Grades 1–5; IB MYP covers Grades 6–10; IB DP covers Grades 11–12)
  • US: Grade 1–12, including AP course-level content from Grade 11
  • Canadian: Grade 1–12, aligned to provincial curriculum structures
  • Australian: Grade 1–12 (NAPLAN from Grade 3; HSC, VCE, QCE, WACE, SACE, TCE, ACT SSC, NTCET, and ATAR in Grades 11–12)

The best way to check whether your specific subject and level are covered is to select your curriculum, subject, and topic inside the platform. If content generates successfully, your route is supported. Studiely continuously expands subject and topic coverage as new syllabi are incorporated.

Can I switch between different curricula?

Yes. You can change your curriculum selection at any time — from your account settings or directly from the generation screen.

This is useful for students who study across more than one curriculum context, are transitioning between school systems, or want to compare how a topic is approached under different frameworks.

Previously generated content from a different curriculum remains accessible in your study library. Switching your curriculum only affects new generations going forward.

Is Studiely's content aligned to official exam boards?

Yes. Studiely's AI is guided by curriculum-specific rules that reflect the scope, terminology, and assessment expectations of each supported exam board. Content is not just subject-accurate — it is structured to reflect how each exam board approaches the topic, including appropriate depth and framing.

For example, a Cambridge Checkpoint student generating notes on Living Organisms receives output structured around the Checkpoint framework — while a Cambridge IGCSE Biology student studying the same topic receives output shaped around the IGCSE specification and mark scheme thinking. Neither gets a generalised biology explanation.

Studiely's content is intended as a study and revision aid. Students should always cross-reference with their school's official materials and past papers from the exam board's official website, particularly where precise mark scheme language is critical.

Does Studiely support IGCSE exam preparation?

Yes. Cambridge Checkpoint and IGCSE preparation are among the most common use cases on Studiely. The platform supports Cambridge Checkpoint (from Grade 3), Cambridge IGCSE, and Pearson Edexcel IGCSE across a wide range of subjects — giving students a consistent study platform from their earliest structured assessments through to their final pre-secondary exams.

For IGCSE students, Studiely provides

  • Summary Notes structured around IGCSE specification content
  • Flashcards covering key definitions, formulas, and concepts
  • Quizzes with IGCSE-style questions and instant feedback
  • Exam Practice (add-on) for extended exam simulation with AI feedback

IGCSE exams typically fall in May and June. Using Studiely consistently in the months before exams allows students to cover topics systematically, test recall, and practise exam responses — all in one place, without the cost of private tutoring.

Does Studiely support the IB (PYP, MYP, and Diploma)?

Yes. Studiely provides full support across all three IB programmes, with content tailored to the philosophy and assessment structure of each.

IB PYP (Primary Years Programme)
Content is inquiry-led and conceptual. Exam-style questions are disabled because PYP does not use formal examinations. Studiely respects IB educational philosophy and generates material focused on understanding rather than exam technique.

IB MYP (Middle Years Programme)
Content is assessment-aware, reflecting MYP criteria and the interdisciplinary nature of the programme.

IB DP (Diploma Programme)
The most exam-intensive IB level. Notes, flashcards, quizzes, and exam practice content are all structured around DP subject guides and assessment objectives.

IB Diploma students manage a significant workload — multiple demanding subjects alongside the Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge, and CAS requirements. Studiely gives DP students efficient, curriculum-accurate revision support that reduces the time spent building materials from scratch and leaves more time for the work that matters.

Can I study multiple subjects at the same time?

Yes. Studiely does not limit you to one subject at a time. You can generate revision content for as many different subjects as your plan's generation allowance supports.

Many students use Studiely to manage revision across all of their exam subjects — generating Biology notes in one session, then switching to History or Mathematics in the next. Each generation is tracked against your monthly allowance regardless of subject, giving you complete flexibility over how to distribute your study time.

This multi-subject flexibility is especially valuable during exam season, when students are preparing several papers simultaneously and need structured revision support across different subject areas without spending time building materials manually.

Which specific curricula, provinces, and states are covered across all of Studiely?

Studiely covers five curriculum systems from Grade 1 through Grade 12. Below is the full coverage across every system — including every Canadian province and territory, and every Australian state and territory. This breadth of coverage is a deliberate competitive advantage: no other AI study platform offers this level of provincial and state-specific alignment.

British Curriculum
Cambridge Primary Checkpoint • Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint • Cambridge IGCSE • Cambridge AS Level • Cambridge A Level • Pearson Edexcel GCSE • Pearson Edexcel AS Level • Pearson Edexcel A Level • UK National Curriculum (Key Stages 1–4)

International Baccalaureate (IB)
IB PYP (Grades 1–5) • IB MYP (Grades 6–10, including MYP Year 4 and Year 5 eAssessment) • IB Diploma Programme (Grades 11–12, all Groups 1–5, Standard Level and Higher Level)

US Curriculum
US High School (Grades 9–12, including AP courses) • Digital SAT (US College Board) • Common Core-aligned content (Grades 1–8)

Canadian Curriculum — All Provinces and Territories
Ontario (OSSD) • British Columbia (Dogwood Diploma) • Alberta (Alberta High School Diploma) • Quebec (Diplôme d'Études Secondaires — DES) • Manitoba (Manitoba High School Diploma) • Saskatchewan (Saskatchewan High School Diploma) • Maritimes — New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and PEI (Maritime High School Diploma) • Territories — Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut (Territorial Secondary Diploma)

Studiely is the only AI study platform that covers every single Canadian province and territory — from the Northwest Territories to Quebec. For Canadian students, this means genuinely relevant, diploma-specific study support regardless of where they live and study.

Australian Curriculum — All States and Territories
NAPLAN (Years 3, 5, 7, and 9 — national) • NSW HSC • VCE (Victoria) • QCE (Queensland) • WACE (Western Australia) • SACE (South Australia) • TCE (Tasmania) • ACT SSC (Australian Capital Territory) • NTCET (Northern Territory) • ATAR (Year 12, cross-state)

Studiely is the only AI study platform that covers every Australian state and territory — from NAPLAN in primary school through to the HSC in New South Wales, VCE in Victoria, and NTCET in the Northern Territory. No student in any part of Australia is left with a generic study tool that does not understand their specific state exam board.

C. Study Tools — How They Work

Summary Notes, Flashcards, Quiz, Exam Practice, Common Mistakes, Worked Examples, and Nyla.

What is the Summary Notes tool?

Summary Notes is Studiely's flagship study tool. It generates structured, curriculum-aligned revision notes for any topic within the student's chosen subject and exam board.

Rather than producing a broad explanation that could come from any textbook, Summary Notes is generated specifically for the student's academic route. A Cambridge Checkpoint student gets notes matched to the Checkpoint framework. A Cambridge IGCSE student gets notes built around Cambridge's specification scope and terminology. An IB Diploma student gets notes shaped around the DP subject guide. Each is different — because each student's route is different.

Notes are concept-first — they explain the topic clearly before introducing exam-relevant framing. They are structured for readability with clear organisation, key definitions highlighted, and logical flow — so they serve as a genuine revision foundation rather than a wall of undifferentiated text.

Premium users can export Summary Notes as PDF or Word documents for offline revision. Notes can also be regenerated to get a different angle or greater depth on a topic.

How does the Flashcard tool work?

Studiely's Flashcard tool generates a set of revision flashcards for any topic in your chosen curriculum. Each flashcard presents a question or key term on one side and the answer or definition on the other — following the principles of active recall, one of the most evidence-backed revision techniques available.

Typically, Studiely generates between 10 and 30 flashcards per request, depending on the topic's scope. Cards are exam-board aware, meaning the question framing and answer depth reflect the expectations of the student's specific curriculum.

Active recall through flashcards is substantially more effective for long-term retention than passive re-reading. Studiely generates flashcard sets that are immediately ready to use — removing the hours students often spend creating cards manually.

Premium users can download flashcard sets in Anki-compatible format, making Studiely's AI flashcard generator one of the most versatile tools available for students who use digital spaced repetition systems.

How does the Quiz tool work?

Studiely's Quiz tool generates exam-style questions for the student's chosen topic, curriculum, and difficulty level. Each quiz includes instant feedback and clear explanations for every answer — helping students understand not just whether they were right or wrong but why.

Quizzes are calibrated to the curriculum's assessment style. For exam-based curricula like IGCSE, GCSE, and IB DP, questions reflect the thinking and language used in real assessments. For conceptual programmes like IB PYP, quizzes focus on understanding rather than exam technique.

Students can select from beginner, intermediate, and advanced difficulty levels — building confidence on a topic before progressing to harder questions.

Unlike static past-paper question banks, Studiely's AI quiz generator creates fresh questions for each request. Students can practise the same topic multiple times without repetition — which is particularly valuable for subjects where consistent practice, such as Mathematics, Sciences, and Languages, directly drives performance improvement.

What is the Exam Practice add-on?

Exam Practice is a dedicated exam simulation feature available as a separate add-on for both Free and Premium Studiely users. It is purchased independently of the main subscription.

The Exam Practice add-on provides

  • Exam-style questions structured around your specific exam board's format
  • AI-powered feedback on responses, including mark scheme-style commentary
  • A higher-intensity preparation mode for students approaching high-stakes assessments

The add-on comes as a pack of 50 Exam Practice generations. These do not expire — you use them at your own pace. Once finished, you can purchase another pack. Exam Practice generations are completely separate from the monthly Premium allowance and do not count toward it.

Exam Practice covers the full breadth of Studiely's curriculum systems: British: Cambridge Primary Checkpoint, Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint, Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge AS Level, Cambridge A Level; Pearson Edexcel GCSE, Pearson Edexcel AS Level, Pearson Edexcel A Level. IB: IB MYP Year 4, IB MYP Year 5, IB Diploma Programme (all Groups 1–5, Standard Level and Higher Level). US: US High School (including AP course-level subjects) and Digital SAT (Reading & Writing, full simulation). Canadian — all provinces and territories: Ontario (OSSD), British Columbia (Dogwood Diploma), Alberta, Quebec (DES), Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Maritimes (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI), and Territories (Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut). Australian — all states and territories: NAPLAN (Years 3, 5, 7, 9), NSW HSC, VCE, QCE, WACE, SACE, TCE, ACT SSC, NTCET, and ATAR.

Within each curriculum, students can select by paper, component, or task type. Exam Practice includes timed simulations at official exam durations, paper-specific question formats (such as structured responses, data analysis, essay, and complete paper practice), and AI feedback that reflects mark scheme thinking.

Please note that for Cambridge A Level, Pearson Edexcel A Level, and selected IB DP Internal Assessment components, the Exam Practice feature operates in practice mode only — it does not simulate a formal exam environment for these coursework-based tasks. All other components are available in full exam simulation mode.

What does the Common Mistakes feature show?

The Common Mistakes feature highlights the most frequent errors and misconceptions students make on a given topic. These are informed by patterns in exam performance and commonly observed student misunderstandings in the relevant subject area.

For exam-based curricula, Common Mistakes is particularly valuable because many marks are lost not through a lack of knowledge but through predictable, recurring errors — incorrect unit usage in Science, misidentified techniques in English Literature, sign errors in Mathematics, and similar slip-ups that students repeat without realising.

Reviewing Common Mistakes before a quiz or exam helps students actively target these weak spots rather than discovering them under pressure on the day.

What are Worked Examples?

Worked Examples show students how to solve problems or answer questions using a clear, step-by-step method. Each example walks through the process from start to finish, including the reasoning behind each step — not just the final answer.

For subjects where method is assessed alongside the answer — such as Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry — Worked Examples are critical for understanding how to communicate working in a way that earns marks under exam conditions.

Where exam marking is applicable, Worked Examples include guidance on how marks would be awarded at each stage, helping students understand the direct link between their method and their potential score.

Who is Nyla, and what can she help with?

Nyla is Studiely's built-in AI study tutor. She is available to all users and provides contextual academic support within the platform, at any time of day.

Students can ask Nyla to

  • Explain a concept from their curriculum that they found confusing
  • Clarify something in the revision content Studiely generated for them
  • Help them understand how to approach a particular type of exam question
  • Suggest a revision strategy for an upcoming assessment
  • Answer questions about how to use any of Studiely's study tools

Nyla stays connected to the student's chosen curriculum context, meaning her responses reflect the student's specific academic route rather than generic subject knowledge.

Nyla is available 24 hours a day — including the night before an exam when a student realises they need to clarify something and no teacher is available. Access to that kind of on-demand academic support was previously only possible through private tutoring. Nyla exists to change that.

D. AI, Content Quality & Accuracy

How content is generated, accuracy, difficulty, plagiarism, and why outputs can vary.

How does Studiely generate its study content?

Studiely uses advanced AI language models guided by a curriculum-specific framework developed by the Studiely team. When a student selects their curriculum, exam board, grade level, subject, and topic, this full academic context shapes the AI's output from the ground up — it is not a post-generation filter applied to generic content.

This curriculum-first approach is what separates Studiely from simply using a general AI tool for revision. A general AI tool may produce accurate subject knowledge, but it is not calibrated to the scope, depth, terminology, or assessment expectations of the student's specific route.

All content generated by Studiely is original and unique to each request. The platform's curriculum guidelines are updated as specifications evolve, and output quality is reviewed continuously against official syllabus materials.

Is Studiely's content accurate and reliable?

Studiely's content is designed to be curriculum-aligned, educationally sound, and exam-relevant. The platform's AI operates within curriculum-specific rules that significantly reduce the risk of off-syllabus or factually incorrect content.

That said, like all AI-generated content, Studiely's outputs should be used as a study aid alongside — not as a replacement for — official course materials. Students are encouraged to:

  • Cross-reference important concepts with their school's official materials
  • Consult their teacher if generated content does not match what they have been taught
  • Use past exam papers from their exam board's official website alongside Studiely for final preparation

If an output is unclear or appears to need refinement, students can regenerate it at any time or ask Nyla to clarify specific points.

Can I control the difficulty level of generated content?

Yes. Before generating content, students can select a difficulty level: beginner, intermediate, or advanced.

This setting affects the depth, complexity, and challenge level of the output across all study tools. Beginner is useful when approaching a topic for the first time or building foundational understanding. Intermediate reflects standard exam expectations for the chosen curriculum. Advanced is suited for students targeting top grades who want to engage with greater depth.

The difficulty setting works alongside curriculum and grade level selection, so the platform calibrates output around both the student's academic route and their current study stage.

Is Studiely's content plagiarism-free?

Yes. Every piece of content generated by Studiely is created uniquely for that specific request at the moment it is made. The platform does not pull pre-written content from a database or reproduce existing published materials.

This means students can use Studiely's generated notes, flashcards, and worked examples as personal study materials without plagiarism concerns — every output is original, even when multiple students request content on the same topic.

Studiely is designed as a revision and study aid, not a content submission tool. Its purpose is to help students understand and practise their subject — not to produce content for handing in as coursework or assignments.

Why does the generated output sometimes vary between requests?

AI models generate responses probabilistically rather than retrieving fixed answers. Two requests for notes on the same topic may produce slightly different outputs in terms of structure, phrasing, or emphasis — even with identical settings.

In revision contexts, this is often useful. When a student regenerates content on a difficult topic, they may get a different angle or framing that helps them understand something the first version did not fully clarify.

If you find a particular output especially useful, save or export it before regenerating. Premium users can export content to PDF or Word for permanent offline access.

E. Usage Limits & Fair Usage Policy

What counts as a generation, monthly limits, and regenerations.

What does '100 generations per month' mean?

A generation is counted each time content is created or regenerated using Studiely's main Study Tools — Summary Notes, Flashcards, Quiz, or Exam Style Questions. Each request, including each regeneration, counts as one generation from the monthly allowance.

Premium plans include 100 generations per month as a shared pool across all Study Tools combined — this is not 100 per tool, but 100 total.

To put this in context: a student revising five topics per week, generating notes and a quiz for each, would use approximately 40–50 generations per month — comfortably within the 100-generation limit for a structured revision schedule.

The Free plan includes five generations in total, with no monthly reset. Exam Practice generations are entirely separate from the monthly Study Tools allowance and do not count toward it.

What happens when I reach my monthly generation limit?

If you reach the 100-generation monthly limit, you will be prompted to wait until your next billing cycle reset before generating new Study Tools content. All previously generated content remains fully accessible — only new generation is paused.

For most students following a consistent revision schedule, the 100-generation monthly limit is more than sufficient. During intensive exam preparation periods, spreading usage steadily across the month is more effective than concentrating generations in the final days before an exam.

Exam Practice generations have their own independent pack and are not affected by the monthly Study Tools limit.

Does regenerating content count toward my monthly limit?

Yes. Each regeneration counts as one generation from your monthly allowance, the same as an original request. This applies whether you are regenerating because the first output was unclear, you want a different approach, or you simply want a fresh version.

To make the most of your monthly allowance, review generated content carefully before regenerating. If one specific part is unclear, asking Nyla to clarify that point is often more efficient than using a full generation to recreate the entire piece.

F. Pricing, Plans & Subscriptions

Costs, geo-based pricing, discounts, cancellation, renewals, refunds, and Exam Practice.

How much does Studiely cost?

Studiely offers a free plan and several Premium subscription options designed to suit different budgets and study needs.

The free plan includes five complete generations at no cost — no credit card required. This gives students genuine access to the platform before committing to a subscription.

Premium plans are available on monthly, three-month, six-month, and annual billing cycles. Because Studiely applies geo-based pricing, the exact cost you see will reflect your location — the platform is designed to be accessible to students across different countries and economies, not just those in the highest-income markets.

To see current pricing, please visit the Pricing page at studiely.com.

The Exam Practice add-on is also available as a separate purchase, providing 50 dedicated exam simulation generations that do not expire and are independent of the monthly Premium limit.

Why does Studiely use geo-based pricing?

Studiely applies geo-based pricing because we believe quality AI-powered revision support should be accessible to students around the world — not just those in high-income markets.

A student in the UK, the US, or Australia faces different economic circumstances from a student in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, or Latin America. Charging a single global price would make Studiely unaffordable for many of the students who need it most.

Geo-based pricing means that the cost you see when you visit studiely.com reflects purchasing power in your region. This approach is how Studiely stays true to its mission: to give every student access to curriculum-specific, high-quality revision support, regardless of background.

To see the pricing available in your location, visit studiely.com/pricing.

Is there a discount for longer subscription plans?

Yes. Studiely's three-month, six-month, and annual plans offer a lower effective monthly cost compared to the monthly plan. The annual plan typically provides the best value per month for students who plan to use Studiely consistently across the academic year.

Current pricing and plan comparisons are shown on the Pricing page, where you can see all available options in your region.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. You can cancel your Premium subscription at any time without penalty.

If you subscribed through the iOS App Store or Google Play Store, manage and cancel your subscription through your device's subscription settings. If you subscribed on the web, cancel through your account settings on studiely.com.

When you cancel, your Premium access continues until the end of the current billing period. You will not be charged for the next cycle. Your account and any saved content remain accessible on the free plan after cancellation.

Do subscriptions renew automatically?

Yes. Studiely Premium subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date.

You will receive a notification reminder before renewal. If you know you will not be using the platform during a particular period — such as a long school holiday — we recommend setting a personal reminder to review your subscription in advance.

What is Studiely's refund policy?

Refunds are handled according to the policy of the platform through which you subscribed:

If you believe you have been charged in error or experienced a technical issue that prevented you from using the service, contact us through the Contact Us page. We will review your case and respond within 24 hours.

How does the Exam Practice add-on work?

The Exam Practice add-on is a one-time purchase providing 50 dedicated exam simulation generations. These generations do not expire — use them at your own pace throughout your exam preparation period.

The add-on covers every curriculum system Studiely supports: Cambridge (Checkpoint through A Level), Pearson Edexcel (GCSE through A Level), IB (MYP Year 4 and 5, Diploma Programme SL and HL), US High School and Digital SAT, all Canadian provinces and territories, and all Australian states and territories. Within each curriculum, students can select by specific paper, component, and task type — including timed simulations at full official exam durations.

Exam Practice generations are completely independent of your monthly Premium Study Tools allowance. Using Exam Practice does not reduce your monthly generation count, and the monthly limit does not affect your Exam Practice pack.

Once 50 generations are used, you can purchase another pack. Pricing for the add-on is shown on the Pricing page at studiely.com and reflects geo-based pricing in the same way as subscription plans.

G. Rewards, Achievements & Referrals

Achievements, streaks, mastery, rewards, and Refer & Earn.

What is the Achievements system?

Studiely's Achievements system recognises and rewards consistent, structured revision habits. It is built around a simple truth that the research consistently supports: sustained effort over time produces better academic outcomes than last-minute cramming.

Achievements are tracked in two ways

Study Streaks
Studiely tracks how many consecutive days you use the platform. Reaching streak milestones unlocks tangible rewards — profile badges, exclusive frames, bonus credits, and discount coupons.

Subject Mastery
As you generate and work through content for a subject, Studiely tracks your mastery progress. Reaching milestones (such as 70% or 90% mastery) unlocks certificates and additional rewards.

All achievements, medals, and certificates are visible on your Dashboard under "My Achievements" and in Profile → Achievements.

What rewards can I earn?

Studiely's reward system creates a positive feedback loop for consistent study — recognising the effort that actually produces results.

Study Streak rewards

  • 15-day streak: Profile badge
  • 30-day streak: Exclusive profile frame
  • 60-day streak: +5 Writing Practice credits
  • 90-day streak: +10 Writing Practice credits, a 20% discount coupon, and a Platinum badge

Subject Mastery rewards

  • 70% mastery: "Topic Pro" certificate and +1 Writing Practice credit
  • 90% mastery: "Mastery Award" certificate with a celebration screen and shareable achievement prompt

The Refer & Earn programme adds further opportunities to earn free Premium time by inviting classmates and study partners.

How does the Refer & Earn programme work?

Studiely's Refer & Earn programme lets you earn free Premium time by inviting friends to join the platform.

To access it, go to Profile → Refer & Earn. The app shows your current target — for example, "Invite 2 more friends to earn 1 FREE month" — and provides your unique referral link to share with classmates, study partners, or friends.

When the required number of friends join using your referral link, you will receive a confirmation notification and the reward will be activated in your account, with the end date shown.

This is one of the ways Studiely keeps Premium access affordable — students who share the platform with their study community can earn meaningful subscription time at no additional cost.

H. Privacy, Security & Data

How we protect data, sharing, and deletion requests.

Is my personal data safe with Studiely?

Yes. Studiely follows strict data protection and security practices in line with applicable privacy regulations. Personal data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.

Studiely does not sell personal data to third parties. Student data is treated with particular care, and the platform is built with compliance with major data protection frameworks in mind.

For students under 13, parental or guardian consent is required in accordance with our Terms of Service and applicable children's data protection laws.

The full Privacy Policy is available in the Help Center and the website footer at studiely.com.

Does Studiely share my data with anyone?

No. Studiely does not sell or share personal data with third parties for advertising or commercial purposes.

Data may be processed by trusted third-party service providers who support platform operations — such as cloud hosting, analytics, and payment processing — but only to the extent necessary to deliver the service and under strict data processing agreements.

Full details of how data is handled are set out in Studiely's Privacy Policy at studiely.com.

How do I request deletion of my data?

You can request deletion of your personal data at any time through the Account Deletion page in the Studiely Help Center.

Once confirmed, all personal data and AI-generated content associated with your account will be permanently and irreversibly deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection regulations.

We recommend downloading any study materials you wish to keep before submitting the request, as deletion cannot be undone. If you are a Premium subscriber, we recommend cancelling your subscription first to avoid further billing.

I. Technical Issues & Troubleshooting

Generation issues, performance, and reporting bugs.

Content is not generating — what should I do?

If Studiely is not generating content, the most common causes and their solutions are:

  1. Internet connection: Ensure your device has a stable connection. Content generation requires a live connection to Studiely's servers. Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data to identify whether the issue is connection-related.
  2. Generation limit reached: If you have used all five free generations or reached your monthly Premium limit, new content cannot be generated until the limit resets or you upgrade. Check your usage in your account dashboard.
  3. App or browser outdated: Ensure you are using the latest version of the Studiely app (check your App Store or Play Store) or a current version of your web browser.
  4. Temporary service issue: Occasionally, high demand or maintenance may cause brief delays. Waiting a few minutes and retrying usually resolves this.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, contact us through the Contact Us page at studiely.com. We will investigate and respond within 24 hours.

The app is running slowly — how do I fix it?

If the Studiely app is running slowly, try the following steps in order:

  1. Update the app: Install the latest version from the App Store or Play Store. Updates frequently include performance improvements.
  2. Check your internet connection: A slow or unstable connection directly affects generation speed. Switch to a faster network if available.
  3. Close background apps: On mobile devices, closing other running apps frees memory and can improve performance.
  4. Clear the app cache: On Android, clear the cache through device app settings. On iOS, reinstalling the app clears cached data.
  5. Restart your device: A simple restart resolves many temporary performance issues.

If performance problems persist after these steps, please report them through the Contact Us page so the team can investigate.

How do I report a bug?

If you encounter a bug or unexpected behaviour in Studiely, please report it through the Contact Us page at studiely.com.

When submitting a bug report, it is helpful to include

  • A description of what happened and what you expected to happen
  • The device and operating system you are using (for example, iPhone 15, iOS 17)
  • Whether you are using the app or web version
  • Any error messages you saw

Our team reviews all bug reports and uses them to improve the platform. We will acknowledge your report and respond within 24 hours.

J. Support, Feedback & Future Features

Nyla vs Contact Us, response times, and the product roadmap.

How do I get help if I have a problem?

Studiely offers two support routes depending on the type of help you need.

Nyla (AI Study Tutor) — available 24/7 inside the app
For academic questions, content clarification, revision guidance, and in-app feature help, ask Nyla directly. She responds instantly and stays connected to your curriculum context.

Contact Us — for everything else
For account issues, billing questions, technical problems, or anything requiring a response from the Studiely team, use the Contact Us page at studiely.com. We respond to all enquiries within 24 hours.

Please note that Studiely does not offer live human chat support at this time. The Contact Us form is the direct route to our support team for all non-academic queries.

What can Nyla help me with?

Nyla is Studiely's built-in AI study tutor and is designed specifically for academic and in-app support — not billing or account issues.

Nyla can help with

  • Explaining a concept from your curriculum that you found confusing in generated content
  • Clarifying how to approach a specific type of exam question
  • Suggesting revision strategies for an upcoming assessment
  • Answering questions about how to use Studiely's study tools effectively
  • Providing in-context academic guidance during a study session

Nyla is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and responds instantly — including the night before an exam when a student needs a quick clarification and no teacher is available. This kind of on-demand academic support was previously only accessible through private tutoring.

For account, billing, or technical issues, please use the Contact Us form.

How quickly does Studiely respond to support requests?

The Studiely support team aims to respond to all Contact Us enquiries within 24 hours. During peak periods, the wait time may approach the full 24 hours, but we are committed to maintaining this as the maximum response time.

For immediate academic support at any time of day, Nyla is available 24/7 within the platform and responds instantly.

If your enquiry is urgent, note this clearly in your message and we will prioritise accordingly.

Will Studiely add new features and expand curriculum coverage?

Yes. Studiely is actively developed and the team is working on several fronts simultaneously.

Planned additions include teacher tools — which will allow educators to use Studiely as a classroom resource, assign content to students, and track progress. This will complement the existing student-focused platform and create a stronger connection between lesson delivery and post-class revision.

The platform is also continuously expanding subject and topic coverage within existing curriculum systems, improving the depth and accuracy of AI outputs, and building new tools based on how students and educators actually use the platform.

If you have a specific feature request, curriculum gap, or subject you would like to see prioritised, we welcome feedback through the Contact Us page. Student and teacher input directly shapes Studiely's product roadmap.

Still need help?

If you couldn't find what you needed, contact the Studiely team — we typically respond within 24 hours.
